I’m sure you are familiar with the joke about “handymen”… They are jack’s of all trades and master of none! LOL. Unfortunately there is a lot of wisdom in that definition. There are however exceptions to all things as you know. When you are as “young” as I am, you can be a “Jack of all Trades” and “master” of them as well!
When you hire a handymen to work on your house, you need to have a lot of confidence in the person you hire. If they aren’t skilled, they can consume materials and the results will be disappointing. Then you will have to hire someone more skilled and you may have to remove the prior materials and start all over again.
So, I’d say… check what other people have to say about their work and their willingness to address problems should they arise. If you hire someone that is not a licensed ROC Contractor by law they need to tell you that they are not licensed before the work is started. Also the labor and materials cannot total more than $1,000.00.
The CanDoGuy works on doing things BEYOND what the ROC requires…. That is an entirely different mindset and work ethic.
