The home owner hired a well-know granite countertop company to replace formica countertops. She wanted to raise the back “Pony Wall” to accommodate an elevated eating area with 4 chairs. The original contractor didn’t design the wall correctly and built with nails. After a week, the unsupported counter section started to crack and separate – eventually failing. CanDoGuy to the rescue! Our design added the 2 side walls and a heavy duty center support using screws which are 3 times stronger.

The CanDoGuy has been a business person his whole life. He has an idealistic view of how a professional licensed, bonded and Insured Contractor ROC 338712 should conduct business with the goals of producing excellent work and making the process enjoyable at the same time. His Invoices are computer generated often with process photos incorporated to reinforce the skills and quality workmanship which goes into each project. FYI all ROC licensed contractors guarantee their work for a period of 2 years. CanDoGuy works under the premise that what he does will endure the test of time… far past what the state requires. If he can’t do an excellent job on a particular project… he will pass on it. The only acceptable grade for his work is a 5 on an scale of 5 rating system.
He considers the “show” to include getting back with you in a timely manner. Arriving on time and texting you as he is heading his way to your home repair situation. When you hire an unlicensed contractor… you don’t have much to fall back on if the work is less than optimal. Stewart doesn't have to work at this stage in his life. what makes him happy is solving complex problems, learning new skills and surpassing his customers expectations!
Projects that can be done in a day or two are often performed without a deposit. It’s simple. If you aren’t satisfied with the work you don’t pay. It is with a great deal of experience and confidence that allows us to have this guarantee over the many years we have been in business. Longer projects are approached with our “Working Agreement”. The cost of the materials and 50% deposit are accepted to get the project on our work calendar. The final 50% of labor is do upon acceptance and the conclusion of the project. We’ve never had a customer not pay us for completed work and we never plan to have that change.
Two other repairman weren’t able to solve the issue. The CanDoGuy fixed the problem quickly and the price was excellent.
My front door was jamming on the frame which made it difficult to open and close. I’ve had 2 other attempts to fix the problem, neither worked. Stewart came the morning after I had texted him and fixed the problem quickly and the price was excellent. He went far further than other attempts before completely rehanging the door. A 5 year issue solved in a couple of hours. I will definitely hire the CanDoGuy for future projects.
You cannot ask for a better experience from a handyman. He’s reliable, knowledgable and can do it all with and organized trailer full of toys and a van wired for the internet.
